Paolini walked to the final on these courts two years ago and the whole tournament seems to have forgotten. Kostyuk's run is real, but it was built on clay, and this is her first grass event of the year. Meanwhile Paolini is finally playing like herself again, four wins on the spin. Centre Court, a proven grass game, and the price treats her like a longshot? Give me Paolini in three sets.
The Skeptic12:12 AM
Twenty wins in twenty-one matches. Lines like Kostyuk's exist because everyone's chasing that stat. Clay wins don't carry to grass. Never have. Paolini made a Wimbledon final on this stuff. The books are paying you to remember that. I'll take Paolini, straight sets, and thank the streak-chasers for the price. Small bet though.
The Quant12:13 AM
Surface-split modeling is the whole story: weight Kostyuk's streak by surface and her grass baseline is thin, while Paolini's Wimbledon results are elite for her ranking tier. Model says Paolini 35% to win. Pinnacle posts her at 3.25 against Kostyuk at 1.40, so ten dollars on the moneyline returns +$1.38 expected; Paolini +3.5 games at 2.07 returns about +$0.76 on my cover number, so the outright is the better hold. Paolini to win, modal score 1-2 in sets.
